We are part of Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust and are delighted to have our school meals supplied by our in-house catering team Chadwick’s Kitchen. To find out about our menu’s, medical diets, free school meals etc. click here to visit the Chadwick’s Kitchen page on the Trust website.
At lunchtime the children may have a school lunch. Dinner monies should be paid to school each Monday morning via Parent Pay. Children may, if they wish, bring a packed lunch to school.
We would ask that this is a healthy option and that no sweets are included. NO ‘fizzy’ drinks or glass bottles are to be brought into school for packed lunch.
Two week’s notice to change from a school dinner to packed lunch or vice-versa is requested. Reception children are encouraged to have a school dinner upon entry to school, this helps build on social and development skills at an early age.
Free Schools Meals
What you need to do – Sunderland Council Free School Meals team will check eligibility for everyone who applies so we are asking all our parents and carers to check whether you qualify and to register. If in doubt about whether you qualify, the advice would be to register anyhow and the Free Meals team at Sunderland Council will check eligibility for you and/or if you have any questions, require further information or wish to speak to the Free School Meals Team, please telephone 0191 561 1417.
Registering is really quick and easy – if you think you qualify, please use the new Family portal at website: https://www.togetherforchildren.org.uk/families/free-school-meals to apply online.
Every enquiry will be in the strictest of confidence – No-one will know you have registered and it will not affect any other benefits you are claiming. If you do not have internet access you can complete the paper copy in your pack and return to the Civic Centre at the address stated.
